The client
PT Anugerah Pile Manunggal — APIM — manufactures prestressed concrete piles in Surabaya, and drives them too. A subsidiary of PT ABIM, the company started in 2018 in ready-mix concrete and has since moved into pile production and pemancangan services, working with a Hydraulic Static Pile Driver that presses piles into the ground rather than hammering them in. The office is on Jl. Raya Satelit Utara; the plant is out at Nguling, Pasuruan.
They sell to contractors and developers, and what they lead with is quality control — every batch has to pass, because a foundation is the one part of a building nobody can go back and fix.
What we did
Not every job is a rebuild, and this one is worth writing up precisely because it wasn't. APIM already had the content: product pages, a gallery, a growing article hub, certifications, partner logos, testimonials. Nothing on the site was wrong. It just read as cramped — copy running to the edge of the browser, blocks pressed up against one another, line lengths stretching the full width of a desktop monitor.
So we fixed the margins. Consistent gutters left and right, a maximum content width so text stops running edge to edge on a wide screen, and even vertical spacing between sections so the page has a rhythm you can follow down it. No new copy, no new photography, no redesign. The same site, given room to breathe.
It is the cheapest improvement available to most websites and one of the most visible. Nobody comes away able to name what changed — they just say it looks better, and they stay on the page longer.
